SHARE Identity Design
Customer: SHARE / Task: Identity Design
The brief
The customer wanted the abbreviation of Society for Humanitarian Services and Research for Environmental Amelioration – SHARE – to form the backbone of the identity for this non-government, not-for-profit organisation.
It needed to reflect a connect with the services offered, without being unduly lengthy or gaudy.
It also needed to have a distinct, re-usable visual motif for use across collateral.
Our solution
We suggested the use of the ampersand (&) as the key visual and a logical connect with the complete name. It seemed like a natural progression of the logo design, and helped to achieve symmetry and an overall visual balance.
It also served as a good replacement for the ‘A’ – without impacting the way the logo was read.
We also suggested a B/W treatment – it was not only way more emphatic than any colour, but also synced well with the services offered by the customer.
